Clinical Negligence by Sara Westwood
I have a varied workload which includes cases involving the following issues:
- Delay in diagnosis of breast cancer
- Delay in diagnosis of kidney stones which resulted in the client losing a kidney.
- Failure of doctor to remove vaginal swab causing upsetting and painful symptoms.
- Injury caused to the bowel and ureter during hysterectomy
- Failure to appropriately repair a tear/episiotomy following childbirth
- Failure to properly monitor the baby during labour resulting in a delay in delivery and brain injury to the baby.
- Failure of GP to diagnose a deep vein thrombosis of the leg
- Failure by surgeon to properly perform a sterilisation procedure with result client went onto to have another baby.
- Medication overdoses administered by hospital staff.
I have a particular interest in gynaecological and obstetric cases but handle clinical negligence cases across the whole spectrum. I am happy to provide advice, free of charge, for a maximum of 30 minutes. This can be a face to face meeting or over the telephone if you prefer.
During the free of charge session I can discuss funding options with you which include the following:
- Public Funding (formerly known as Legal Aid)
- Legal Expenses Insurance (it is worth checking your building/contents insurance policy as many nowadays have legal cover within them)
- No Win No Fee
- Private Funding.
